Adele's Bat Mitzvah
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they must be felt with the heart." - Helen Keller
About my Mitzvah Project
My "Aunt" Elissa Zucker passed away in April of 2020. We were lucky enough to have had the time we had with her while she was here. She was always with us for all the Jewish Holidays and family celebrations and milestones as part of our adopted family.

During Aunt Elissa's Zoom Shiva, I found out that it was her dream to retire and move to Israel and work with the Deaf Blind community there. I decided for my mitzvah project I wanted to help her dream come true because she was not able to.

In the memory of my Aunt Elissa, I designed t-shirts and dog bandanas for all the guide dogs and rescue pups out there. The design has an ILY hand in American Sign Language, with the cardinal in Elissa's memory. We see cardinals all the time and know she is visiting us to make sure we are okay. The Hebrew writing above and the braille writing below both are the words for "love."
