For donations directly to The Center for Deaf-Blind Persons in Israel

The Center for Deaf-Blind Persons is the only Israeli organization dedicated to meeting the needs of Israelis with the dual disability of deaf-blindness.

Our goal is to empower these individuals to live rewarding and independent lives as far as possible and realize their full potential while enjoying full integration into the hearing-sighted world.

To this end we initiate, develop and provide a wide range of innovative, comprehensive rehabilitation, educational and social programs and services specifically for this unique population. Our staff itself sets a leading example of integration, with deaf-blind, blind, deaf and sighted-hearing staff members working side by side with equal rights and salaries.

Authorized by an Act of Congress in 1967, HKNC is the only organization of its kind—providing training and resources exclusively to people age 16 and over who have combined vision and hearing loss.

Students travel from across the country to our headquarters in Sands Point, New York, for on-campus training in assistive technology, vocational services, orientation and mobility, communication and independent living, and our regional offices bring HKNC resources to communities throughout the United States.
